Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Monday that Iran has met all of its obligations under an interim nuclear agreement with the 5+1 group.

He made the remarks at the American Jewish Committee’s annual Global Forum, Xinhua reported.

“Iran has halted process on some aspects of its nuclear program and has rolled it back in a certain way,” he said.

The U.S. official has said recently that Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) are making efforts to reach a final deal by a June 30 deadline.

However, Blinken warned that the deadline could be missed. “The June 30 deadline is fast approaching, and we do not yet have a comprehensive agreement, and there remains a chance that we won’t get one.”

Iran and the six major powers reached an interim deal in Geneva on November 24 under which Iran restricted some parts of its nuclear activities in exchange for easing some sanctions.
